Life cycle of the ladybird:
Let's start with an adult beetle, in this case I suspect it is a Harlequin Ladybird. A non indiginous species in the UK, imported from Asia. Much larger than our native species. The eggs are less than 1mm long and will hatch after approximately 1 week.
